Prince's Island LightPosted by Brent (Calgary, Canada) on 15 June 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. I haven't taken much opportunity to get out and shoot any time lately. I guess with a new baby I've been a bit busy, but that is no excuse. Lately I've been thinking a lot about how I can take my photography to the next level. I've come to conclusion that I need to be more intentional. I need take time composing and exposing images, not just shoot of a bunch and fix them later. I need to look more for light and take advantage of it. This photo is a bit of a fluke as well as planned. As we were walking around the park I noticed the sun shining through this frame of plants, so I raised my camera and composed the scene. I only realized the people had walked through the frame when I got it home and reviewed my photos. I should be hitting myself on the head and thinking more intentionally next time to wait for people to be where I want them, or to think about how to take my photo to the next level.
